Steps To Tying The knot
Just like any other marriages, Arranging a wedding in Port Stephens requires some paperwork and legal steps that need to be taken before a couple ties their knot.
We need to complete the Notice of Intended Marriage and the Declaration of No Legal Impediment to Marriage. For these, I will need to meet with you to confirm your identities (with your drivers’ licenses), and the dates and locations of your births (with your passports or birth certificates). The Notice of Intended Marriage needs to be submitted one month prior to your wedding date. It is certainly helpful if you and your partner start to fill in the information online before we meet. Acceptable forms of ID include: Birth Certificates, Passports, Drivers Licenses, or other forms of Photo ID. I can even meet you both via a Whatsapp Video call to witness you both signing the Notice of Intended Marriage form to save you coming to see me in Salt Ash, NSW.

- At our meeting, we cover the legalities indicated above, and I like to take the time to get to know both of you. The more I get a sense of who you are and hear your love stories, the better I can tailor the wedding ceremony to the two of you.
- I will discuss what you want your ceremony to be like and the specific music, readings, and vows that will be especially meaningful to you. Looking for some inspiration? I have quite a collection for you to browse.
- After that meeting, I will write up the ceremony and we’ll communicate back and forth to finalize the details.
- On your wedding day, I’ll ensure everything is set up as arranged and will put everyone—especially you—at ease. No need for you to stress on this special day. You can rely on me to be well-organized, warm, friendly and fun. I’ll keep the ceremony on track while the two of you bask in the love and good wishes that embrace you.
- We’ll make sure that all the paperwork has been submitted (assist you with name changes and Lodge your marriage and registration within 24 hours after the ceremony) so that you start your married life with everything in order.
