Taking the Plunge

As with all marriages in Australia, there are legal matters to consider. Having ID to prove you are over the age of 18 and a birth certificate are all standard documents to share with your chosen celebrant. As your celebrant I will make these formalities as painless and don’t take away from making your special day the best it can be Acceptable forms of ID are: Birth Certificates, Passports, Drivers Licenses, or other forms of Photo ID.

How does it all work? I keep things as simple as possible by using the celebrant experiences from here in Blacktown Sydney NSW, Australia.

Firstly, we will meet to discuss your wedding day plans so that I can get a feel of what you want. At this meeting, my priorities are to get to know you as a couple and to complete the Notice of Intended Marriage. The Notice is an online form that the two of you can start to fill in before we meet. When we meet, I will need to confirm the dates and locations of your births as indicated on your passports or birth certificates and I will check your ID against your drivers’ licenses so please bring these documents with you.
We finalise plans and make sure everything is in place for your wedding. This is where my knowledge is invaluable as all details are checked from venues to rings to seating arrangements. Nothing is left to chance and as much pressure is taken from you as possible. This is what you are paying me for as your celebrant.
