My Experiences in Life
My name is Darrin Noon and I’m considered by many in NSW as one of the best and experienced marriage celebrants. I feel I have the best job in the world. It would be a privilege to be a part of and to help prepare your wedding ceremony, reflecting your love and the story bringing you together.
I have a saying that your marriage and wedding are about you, not me. In saying that, I’m sure you would like to find out a little about me since I’m going to be involved in one of the most special days of your life.
I have had some great life experiences in my life, from a child to my life now. I grew up moving around Australia quite a lot with my dad being in the Military. I followed that tradition and served in the Australian Army for 15 years which included a deployment with the United Nations in Cambodia. In the last 5 years of my service, I decided to give something back and was a Defence Recruiter, helping young people with joining the Defence Force. During this time I had to do a lot of public speaking which gave to the confidence to do what I do today as a Marriage Celebrant. The Military taught me discipline and organization skills which have helped me get through life so much easier.
I worked for Virgin Airlines from it’s exception for 6 years, where I dealt with people in a busy, fast-moving industry. This taught me patience and customer service skills.
I was a Rugby League Referee for 20 years which is one of my passions. I also served as a coach, and administrator and had the pleasure of working for the NRL and NSWRL as a Ground Official on game days. This takes patients working with the media, players, coaches and officials.
I currently run a successful Pet Care business with my wife which gives me the flexibility to also be a Marriage Celebrant.
I have a great sense of humour and can be as serious or funny as you want me to be. I am open-minded and accept everyone for who they are and from any background.
