Locations in the Blue Mountains are very popular, so you will need to plan ahead if you wish to reserve one of the in-demand locations. You’ll also need to line up a celebrant at least a month ahead of the wedding date so that your Notice of Intended Marriage can be submitted as required.

how to get started

As with all marriages, there are some legal requirements and preparations that I need to make before the wedding. As a celebrant, it’s my job to ensure that everything is legalised and make the process easier for you to get involved in.

My process is as follows:

  • First, we meet to get acquainted and do some preliminary paperwork (completing the Notice of Intended Marriage and confirming your ID and dates and places of birth). For this legal paperwork, I will need you to bring either your drivers’ licenses  or current valid passports, if you have them or any other forms of Photo ID or birth certificates, Will also require proof of previous marriage ending such as a divorce or death certificate if required.
  • We then focus on planning the wedding ceremony. Every couple makes their own wedding unique with the readings and music they choose, their vows, and rituals they choose to incorporate. I’ve seen many different formats, and I encourage you to think about what will make the ceremony uniquely yours. With my years of experience as a marriage celebrant, I have a broad range of resources you can browse for inspiration. By the end of the second meeting, we’ll have a good idea of how your ceremony will unfold.
  • On your wedding day, you can rely on me to ensure everything is set up as planned, including a portable PA system, a table and chairs for signing the registry, and the music. I’ll put you and your guests at ease. It’s your special day and I want you to shine as the stars of the celebration, feeling the love surrounding and embracing you. I’ll keep us on track through the ceremony while ensuring a warm and fun atmosphere.
